Do you view conspiracy theories with more suspicion than the government?
One element of the media’s focus over the last hundred years has been to discredit any theory which can be classified as a "conspiracy." As a result many people have come to view conspiracy theories with suspicion, rather than viewing government with suspicion. This is a very strange reversal of human opinion, and it is important to note that this is a very recent development in the history of mankind. Conspiracies have driven political direction since the beginning of civilization, and are the rule rather than the exception. It is a testament to the power of modern media that over the course of the last hundred years, a carefully controlled media has been able to condition the population into the belief that conspiracies are the last resort of those citizens who are either paranoid or unable to explain their own failures by any other means.

I was
I for a long long time believed that the government more or less told the truth – that police were honest and that we were told what was going on in the world by a free press
I stayed in my small town I ran my business — stories about the police or foreign policy were just instantly believed
Not only that but we believed we were all much better off than other nations — somehow Canada was different and therefore immune
I started to read things when I lost my business and came to the city
The internet has been this great medium of education – far more than just the porn the Reverend told us it was and scared the crap out of my mother and a local Catholics women league
I got older and my friends all had odd and different lives – dumb farm boys talk — and if you start putting all the pieces together from all the stories you get the impression Grand father was paranoid for a reason
Things aren’t the way we were told they were -
When I was a kid – cops wore a light blue uniform and had a flap covering their gun because Canadians didn’t like the sight of guns
Now they look like a super military dressed in black and armed to the teeth – at times I seriously wonder if they aren’t all on steroids — where the F—k are they getting all these absolutely massive men from ?
Then one day I was watching a u tube thing and Deek Jackson of the FKN newz pointed something awe striking out
Ric people are selfish and do things to suit themselves —
Most of the stories from my friends – from my family from fellow farmers being forced out by multi billion dollar commercial farms all have one thing in common
The rich and those who represent them – win and we lose – Justice truth and all that BS my parents were promised — only apply to those who have the economic power to buy it and the truth once bought becomes a minion of it’s owner no longer all that recognizable to us commoners at the bottom
As an aside one of the biggest outfits with a staggering amount of power I had to deal with was the lake Simcoe conservation authority — If a cop showed up with no warrant – I could tell him to leave – The Lake Simcoe conservation authority requires no warrant to enter search and cease
Once "in" if they find anything they deem "suspicious" the police are instantly provided probable cause for the warrant
If your a Canadian farmer living on any area deemed at council to be in need of protection — you have no legal way to defend any privacy at all . People do not complain about it too too much because for the most part these extreme powers have not been abused —yet
