Is the 2012 prediction of mass chaos and possibly nuclear war more/less likely if a Repub is president then?
Just thinking about the "it’s us against them" and the "If you’re not with us you’re against us" pro military pro war mentality that seems to be a strong ideology of Republicans
As one of the other people said, not a Republican in sight until January 2013. I would watch out for September-December 2011 because we could be heading into a depression and that is when it would come to a head. I believe that this is just the eye of the (financial)storm
Dude, we don’t even know who the Republican candidate is yet, it could be someone good.

The only negative predictions about 2012 are coming from people who make their living selling books and DVDs about the coming end of the world. They predicted it in 2000 and 2003, and it didn’t happen either time, right? So they just change the dates and ship it back out.
2012 has been done to death in the science sections.

How would there be a Republican President in 2012? Obama is in office until Jan 2013. If, for some reason, he isn’t able to complete his term, then Joe the Idiot will be President. Should he not be available, then Botox Pelosi will be President.
Not a Republican in sight.

It is more likely. If you look at the rhetoric of registered Republicans (see http://www.thoseshirts.com) they make the notion of the United States using nuclear weapons against Iran (and Saudi Arabia) a joking matter. The Democrats do not like the Government of Zimbabwe (Africa) but, if they suggested using nuclear weapons against Zimbabwe, it would be a firestorm in the media. Yet, no one questions the Republicans for their affiliation with people who openly use this rhetoric.
For that reason, a Republican president is NOT recommended in 2012.
If you care to know why, read further. If a Republican President decided to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities (remember a nuclear facility can cause radiation sickness for millions of people, and it carries in the wind) there could be over 3 million lives lost in the resulting chaos.
The Democrats more or less refuse to bomb Iran, and there is far less reason to be worried about a catastrophe that could demolish half of the middle east.
If Iran is bombed and seven Muslim countries strike at US bases and installations in the middle east, the death toll for US servicemen could be over 500,000.
